Base pay range
$118,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr
At Meta, we aim to bring together cross-disciplinary minds in one place to deliver on our mission: build tools that help people feel connected, anytime, anywhere.As a Thermal Design Engineer, you will take a critical role in developing systems for wearables and/or new technology initiatives. You will be part of a team exploring and developing products over the full lifecycle, from prototypes to mass-production. You will work as part of a cross functional team requiring collaboration in domains inside and outside thermal and fan engineering. This role intersects many disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering. Proven experience in solving complex problems, embracing ambiguity, and proactively identifying solutions while working with a wider team is essential.Thermal Design Engineer Responsibilities:Develop physics-based thermal models using programming languages such as MatLAB, Python, or JuliaSupport the design, development, and optimization of part, sub-system, and system level design through collaboration with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and softwareDevelop part and sub-system thermal and fan models using CFD and CAD toolsDevelop and optimize thermal designs while integrating new thermal technologies through partnering with mechanical and electrical engineersSupport sub-system and system-level thermal verification through prototype testingSupport the development of thermal control systems while building prototypes to test on physical HWMinimum Qualifications:B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience2+ years of experience in thermal design related to server/hardware,...
