In this position... 


You will work as a member of the Data Collection Platform (DCP) software test team, the successful candidate will be involved in cutting edge embedded software development, working on system components that either provide enabling frameworks or additional functional services above the operating system services and drivers.

You will define, design, and build DCP software test methodologies to provide a scalable distributed framework that is used by applications and services on various modules in the vehicle network.


 

What you'll do...

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Review requirements and architecture documents to formulate test strategy, design test cases, and develop test automation scripts.
  • Execute manual and automated tests, review test results, analyze issues, and validate fixes.
  • Ensure issues found are properly tracked throughout the software life cycle.
  • Contribute to team deliverables through involvement in agile scrum sprints.
  • Interface with development and test teams to understand testing requirements and implement required test tools and tests scripts.
  • Effectively communicate test status and issues with test leads, developers, feature owners, and management.
  • Participate in ongoing process improvements including test case maintenance, defect escape analysis, and rainy-day test scenario review.
  • Integrate and customize individualized AI Agents to generate and improve test cases. 
     

You'll have... 


Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical areas

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of overall testing experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Python development.
  • Knowledge of AI agents’ usage and skill generation.

Education: Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical areas

Experience:

  • Proficient in Python and shell scripting languages.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Confluence, Jira (Issue and Project Tracking Software), TestRail, and related tools is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience testing one or more areas of Linux/QNX (Quick Unix — real-time operating system) device drivers or the networking stack.
  • Experience in Automotive or Embedded Systems testing.
  • Understanding of the Linux kernel and drivers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with core networking fundamentals and protocols (e.g., Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Quality of Service (QoS), Domain Name System (DNS), Audio Video Bridging (AVB), Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), etc.).

The expected annual salary range for this Ford of Canada position is $96,000.00- $146,000.00 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
 


Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.
