Enterprise Schedule Management (ESM) Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
Create, maintain, manage, and operate automated enterprise and interagency schedule(s) using a government approved tool (e.g. Microsoft Project/Project Server, Jira, Tableau), to allow for the integration and assessment of schedule data across NGA and mission partners. Develop enterprise, cross-program, and cross-project technical roadmaps, conduct incremental reviews of schedule milestones and activities, and maintain schedule baselines to ensure informed, up-to-date, and executable enterprise-level schedules. Develop and apply algorithms and models to identify and analyze schedules critical path and conduct "what-if" scenarios for the assessment of program execution viability and forecasting impacts caused by changes to execution plans and underlying schedules.
Specific Job Description:
The primary responsibility will be to serve as an Enterprise Schedule Management (ERM) systems engineer. The candidate will be a member of the Program’s ESM Team, The NFE contractor helps the Government define, schedule, synchronize, orchestrate, visualize, and communicate cross-program and cross-project activities and provide expertise to assist with capability planning and effectivity definitions that address mission priorities. The NFE contractor shall have the multi-discipline expertise to work with systems engineers, architects, program managers, and project leads across NGA and mission partners.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead overall response for NGA/NSG meetings reviewing and presenting schedule data for programs, projects and segments by providing reports, Gantt charts, and other visualization products, clearly communicating schedule expectations and status, to include deviations and areas of concern.
- Lead the coordination with programs to obtain suitable data for creating and maintaining proper schedules (e.g. linkages, dependencies, level of detail).
- Lead the schedule interaction with mission partner(s) to understand key dependencies NGA has with mission partners.
- Identify system development milestones that drive phasing of capabilities to meet enterprise epics or equivalent planning timeframes.
- Develop, manage, and maintain connection of strategic-level guidance and enterprise-level effectivities with lower-level program, project, and segment effectivities and milestones.
Develop enterprise, cross-program, and cross-project schedule and technical roadmap development, incremental reviews of schedule milestones and activities, and maintenance of schedule baselines, as directed, to ensure informed, up-to-date, and executable enterprise-level schedules.
Location: This position is 100% onsite. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Required Qualifications:
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication and ability to pass a poly
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 years of System Engineering experience, focusing on schedule management.
- Advanced MS Word skills.
- Significant experience with Jira and Confluence
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with senior level customers
- Detail oriented, with proven time management and organization skills
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Knowledge of the NGA organization and programs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge/experience analyzing impacts using schedule tools and planning processes.
- Knowledge/experience with supporting customer. Ability to work in a Government environment as part of a multi-contractor team.
- Advanced technical degree.
- Working knowledge of the NSG strategies and IPO management
- 2-6 years of experience with NGA processes and procedures.
- Experience with geospatial intelligence systems and/or existing legacy/heritage NSG segments.
