Accountabilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle Database environments with high availability requirements.
- Analyze and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries used by enterprise systems and applications.
- Develop and recommend improvements to queries, procedures, and database routines focused on performance and scalability.
- Monitor database performance across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Propose improvements to data models to enhance efficiency, performance, and data integrity.
- Execute database migrations, data loads, and replications between environments using Oracle administration tools.
- Evaluate technical impacts of database structure changes and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Manage backup strategies, disaster recovery processes, and service continuity procedures.
- Implement and maintain database updates, patches, monitoring routines, and capacity planning activities.
- Define and promote Oracle database administration best practices and governance standards.
- Support development teams by providing guidance on database architecture and optimization practices.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA Oracle).
- Professional experience managing, monitoring, supporting, and optimizing Oracle databases in mission-critical corporate environments.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, 19c, or higher.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Experience with SQL Tuning and Performance Tuning techniques.
- Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Experience with Oracle Data Pump (Export/Import).
- Knowledge of RMAN (Recovery Manager), Oracle ASM, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Data Guard.
- Familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate is considered an advantage.
- Experience with table and index partitioning, tablespace management, datafiles, and redo logs.
- Understanding of Oracle Optimizer statistics and database commands including DDL, DML, DCL, and TCL.
- Knowledge of relational and multidimensional data modeling.
- Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
- Experience working with very large databases (VLDB).
- Strong knowledge of database monitoring, diagnostics, backup, restore, and recovery processes.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments for Oracle administration.
- Oracle OCA or OCP certifications.
- Experience with Oracle Exadata.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Experience automating processes with Shell Script or Python.
- Experience working in highly available and critical environments.
