About the Role

Our client is a global industrial leader operating in over 100 countries, known for its advanced manufacturing footprint and commitment to driving digital innovation across its factories and supply chain. They are currently undergoing one of the most significant ERP and operational technology transformations in their industry to modernize systems, improve efficiency, and enable next-generation operations.

We are looking for a senior SAP Supply Chain Technical Process Owner to support the European rollout of a unified SAP solution. The role acts as a technical bridge between Business Process Owners, Functional Experts, Delivery Factory, and Digital implementation teams, ensuring technical consistency, configuration quality, testing readiness, and smooth cutover execution.

This position focuses on SAP MM/SD and MRP, with strong relevance to procurement, supply chain, production planning, planning strategy, and rollout activities. The ideal consultant has experience with SAP Public Cloud or SAP S/4HANA Core Model Rollout, and can support configuration, integration, data mapping, SIT, defect resolution, and transition activities.

CONTRACT: Freelance / contractor assignment

COMMITMENT: 3 months, renewable

LOCATIONS: Hybrid in Budapest or Grenoble — 2 days/week onsite, 3 days/week remote

NOTES: Travel to other European client sites is expected around 1 week per month, with expenses reimbursed.

Responsibilities

  • Support technical implementation of SAP MM/SD and MRP within a European rollout program
  • Define configuration needs and liaise with the Delivery Factory
  • Advise on extensibility options, technical feasibility, and data mapping
  • Ensure integration consistency across SAP and surrounding IT systems
  • Support SIT preparation, execution, defect analysis, and resolution
  • Coordinate business readiness and legacy system adaptation activities
  • Support cutover planning, execution, transition, and stabilization
  • Work closely with BPOs, functional experts, and digital implementation teams
  • Ensure alignment with SAP core model, best practices, and rollout standards
  • Contribute to technical quality, performance, and integration across the solution

Requirements

  • Senior experience in SAP technical implementation, rollout, or process ownership
  • Hands-on experience with SAP MM and/or SAP SD
  • Strong knowledge of MRP, procurement, production planning, or planning strategy
  • Experience with SAP Public Cloud or SAP S/4HANA Core Model Rollout
  • Experience with SAP configuration, testing, cutover, and defect resolution
  • Experience coordinating between business, functional, and technical teams
  • Availability for hybrid work in Budapest or Grenoble
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
