Howmet Aerospace, Engines Business Unit, seeks a Talent Specialist to join our team in ClevelandOhio!  This role is designed for an early-career professional looking to build a foundation in talent acquisition and human resources. The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about creating an exceptional candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Full Cycle Recruitment

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned positions, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding coordination.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs, develop recruiting strategies, and provide guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews while ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring teams.
  • Manage candidate communications and maintain accurate records within the applicant tracking system.
  • Facilitate offer approvals, prepare offer letters, and support pre-employment activities.

 

Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, employee referrals, social media, networking events, and other recruiting channels.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for high-volume manufacturing roles as well as specialized engineering and technical positions.
  • Develop relationships with trade schools, colleges, universities, and community organizations to create diverse talent pipelines.
  • Participate in career fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives to promote the Howmet brand.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain metrics such as source effectiveness, candidate pipeline activity, and interview conversion rates.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure recruiting documentation and applicant data are accurate and up to date.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance recruiting efficiency and candidate experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • This position entails access to export controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicants ability to lawfully obtain access to such items. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Internship or experience supporting recruitment or human resources functions is highly desired.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or HRIS preferred
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter or other sourcing tools.
  • Interest in manufacturing, engineering, or aerospace industries.
