Accountabilities
- Support the design, implementation, and deployment of digital manufacturing, MES, and industrial data integration solutions across diverse industries.
- Participate in pilot projects, site implementations, and multi-site technology rollouts from requirements gathering through configuration, testing, deployment, and training.
- Help integrate operational technology (OT) systems, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and historians, with enterprise technologies such as MES, ERP, cloud platforms, and analytics solutions.
- Develop, configure, test, and document applications, integrations, dashboards, reports, and industrial data workflows.
- Contribute to solution frameworks and best practices for data governance, system interoperability, and scalable digital architectures.
- Collaborate with controls engineers, software developers, project managers, and customer teams to ensure solutions meet operational and business objectives.
- Troubleshoot system integration challenges, data flow issues, and performance concerns across industrial and enterprise environments.
- Participate in client workshops, discovery sessions, and technical discussions to gather requirements and support solution development.
- Assist with user training, technical documentation, and post-deployment support activities.
- Help advance digital transformation initiatives by applying automation, analytics, and AI-enabled manufacturing concepts.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, MES, digital manufacturing, or related engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process control, and shop-floor operations.
- Hands-on experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation, including SCADA, MES, MQTT, and industrial data architectures.
- Experience integrating OT and IT systems, including PLCs, SCADA systems, historians, MES, ERP platforms, cloud solutions, and analytics tools.
- Working knowledge of Python, SQL, APIs, and industrial data pipelines.
- Understanding of MES concepts such as OEE, production modeling, traceability, quality management, batch execution, and downtime tracking.
- Familiarity with PLCs, DCS, HMIs, industrial networks, and control-level devices is an asset.
- Ability to translate operational requirements into technical solutions, workflows, and system configurations.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with system integrators, engineering firms, consultancies, or industrial technology providers is preferred.
- Exposure to digital transformation projects in manufacturing, life sciences, food and beverage, chemicals, or other industrial sectors is an advantage.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing environments or standardized solution deployments is beneficial.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, analytics, AI, or advanced manufacturing initiatives is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
