Accountabilities
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical enterprise data models that support reporting, analytics, and operational business processes.
- Build and optimize Snowflake data architectures, implementing scalable schemas, clustering strategies, materialized views, and performance tuning initiatives.
- Translate complex business requirements into efficient data models using dimensional modeling techniques, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and implement robust ELT/ETL pipelines and modern data lakehouse architectures using Medallion principles.
- Model and integrate Guidewire data across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, and customer domains.
- Design cloud-native data ingestion frameworks leveraging AWS services while ensuring seamless integration across enterprise data platforms.
- Establish and maintain enterprise data governance standards, including data quality, metadata management, lineage, security, compliance, and role-based access controls.
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions that support strategic insurance initiatives.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, or Data Engineering within enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional data modeling, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema design.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Advanced SQL development skills and strong programming experience with Python and PySpark.
- Proven experience designing and supporting ELT/ETL pipelines and modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS technologies, including S3, Glue, and Lambda.
- Solid understanding of Medallion Architecture and modern data lakehouse concepts.
- Deep knowledge of Guidewire data models, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
- Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain expertise, including policy administration, underwriting, claims management, and billing processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
