Infrastructure Engineer - AV fundamentals - Digital Workplace

The Streaming Team manages various internal company events globally. This role will function as an event operation and local site Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Streaming Team. The role will operate live events, ensure availability and optimization of the Content Delivery Network (CDN), and provide technical oversight of key event origination locations. This role will also assist in the development of the tools & equipment standard, including design support and integration of hardware and software infrastructure required to run the streaming portfolio.
- Provide production and technical leadership in the execution of all phases of livestream event support
- Perform core technical duties to maintain active infrastructure implementations, new deployments and auxiliary technologies related to dynamic infrastructure platforms
- Develop and execute detailed test plans for new technology implementations
- Participate in troubleshooting event and platform related issues including, capacity and availability issues, moves/adds/changes, server software installation and configuration
- Provide Planning, Technical, and Operations support for live-streaming events and asynchronous video projects
- Plan and support live events as streaming operator
- Deliver top-tier partnership to internal and external project stakeholders and team members
- Contribute to the creation of technical designs, implementation plans, and documentation records
- Utilize your working knowledge of industry trends to make recommendations for innovations in processes, systems, and infrastructure solutions
- Minimum 7 years experience operating live and/or broadcast events
- Bachelor’s Degree in technology, related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with various production systems and components required for video capture, audio capture, communication, recording, et al.
- Experience managing enterprise streaming platforms, videoconferencing, and virtual events tools
- Experience working with network, server, and information security fundamentals
- Expert knowledge of principles applicable to AV fundamentals such as audio signal path, routing, AVoIP, and NDI
- High proficiency user of MS Office Product Suite products including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- Strong email and verbal communication competence
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Quick thinker; capable of changing course when necessary
- Familiarity with a variety of software video editing solutions, iMovie, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro
- High capacity for multi-tasking – Ability to monitor and respond to multiple active windows at once; ability to track and communicate progress on multiple projects simultaneously
- Meticulous attention to detail
