Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped millions of people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.
Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.
We are looking for a Program Manager, Field Testing to own the execution layer of Oura's growing Field Testing program. As we transition field testing to a more structured, milestone-gated user validation function built on Centercode, this role will run active tests end-to-end — keeping testers engaged, feedback flowing, and hardware accounted for — with minimal oversight once ramped. You will work in close partnership with the Field Testing DRI, owning the operational detail so the broader team can focus on strategic and cross-functional decisions.
This is a U.S.-based hybrid role, with an expectation of 2–3 days per week in office and a preference for candidates based in San Francisco or San Diego.
What you will do:
- Own all tester communications across the full test lifecycle — from onboarding and device distribution through weekly check-ins and test closure — with no day-to-day prompting required once the program rhythm is established.
- Run Centercode as the primary operator: configure activities, monitor daily feedback streams (bug reports, surveys, qualitative responses), triage issues, and maintain tester engagement without waiting to be asked.
- Identify trends across all feedback types and translate device or firmware-level issues into plain-language, customer-impact summaries ready for stakeholder consumption.
- Own hardware logistics end-to-end: shipping label creation and tracking, cohort unit assignments, device returns, and post-test inspection — keeping inventory records in Centercode accurate and current.
- Produce weekly summary reports tracking tester participation, feedback trends, open issues, and progress against test objectives; lead or co-lead stakeholder readouts as the program matures.
- Drive cross-functional issue resolution with Product, Hardware, Firmware, Software, MX, Legal, and Supply Chain — coordinating independently and surfacing only decisions that require DRI input.
- Own and continuously improve the operational processes and documentation that make each test more repeatable than the last, building toward a scalable Field Testing function.
Requirements
We would love to consider you for this role if you have:
- 3–5 years of experience in a program management, QA, or technical operations role at a consumer hardware or wearable technology company — with a track record of running complex, multi-stakeholder programs independently.
- Hands-on experience managing beta or field test participants end-to-end, including confidential hardware logistics and structured feedback collection; Centercode or equivalent platform experience required.
- Strong communicator who can write with precision for a nervous first-time tester and synthesize messy feedback into sharp, decision-ready insights for a senior stakeholder — in the same day.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and proactive: you identify gaps before they become fires, document as you go, and don't need someone to remind you what comes next.
- High emotional intelligence and calm under pressure — able to manage tester frustration professionally and navigate cross-functional ambiguity without losing momentum.
- Familiarity with hardware shipping logistics (FedEx/UPS Business) and experience with wearables, biometric data, or digital health products are strong pluses.
