Job Description

  • Coordinate daily payment processing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor payment queues and prioritize work to meet departmental deadlines.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied payments, and outstanding balances.
  • Review payment reports and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with finance, revenue cycle, and operational teams to ensure proper payment posting and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of payment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and fiscal year-end payment activities.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for payment processes.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members on payment-related processes.
  • Prepare reports and present payment performance metrics to leadership.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
