The Role
Role Overview
The Technical Solutioning Certifier is responsible for:
- coaching and shaping technical solutions for revenue growth, enabled by consult attach, hyperscaler related services, and innovation.
- Ensure competitive solutions, working east-west across functions to drive win rate.
- Facilitate deal teams to solve solutioning problems through personal expertise and by leveraging a network of SMEs.
- Ensure integrity in solution, cost case, contractual protection and delivery readiness.
- Cocreate with Delivery on effective risk management.
- Harvest assets and lessons learned to inform more effective future solutioning.
The certifier ensures that technical assurance, solution quality, and governance standards are consistently applied across all markets, and deal archetypes. The role sits at the centre of the Global Solutioning operating model — bridging solution teams, practices, market units, delivery, pricing, and consult — to ensure every certified solution is technically robust, competitive, and aligned to Kyndryl’s strategic and financial guardrails. This position requires a hands‑on individuals who blends deep technical solutioning expertise with operational rigor, program design, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to drive cross‑organizational alignment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Certification Operations & Governance
- Chair certification reviews (SSA & TSA) for complex or high‑risk deals.
- Validate deal team artifacts and ensure alignment with global templates and standards.
- Ensure clear direction to solutioning teams and deviations escalated to appropriate management for support so that deal certification is completed in a timely manner,
2. Strengthen Technical Solution Quality
- Guide deal teams on architecture, risks, staffing, and solution viability.
- Calibrate risk positions and reinforce adherence to standards.
- Embed lessons learned into certification guidance and templates.
- Ensure contracts adequately protect our solutions.
3. Competitive solutioning:
- operate across functions to ensure the right elements for success are present post qualification (SSA) e.g. deal strategy and a price to win strategy informed by value and deal mix.
- ensures all solutions adopt the most competitive metrics e.g. use of Indian resources, labour productivity enabled by agentic AI, governance and T&T right sized, and solutions which are aligned to customer RFP not what we think he customer might want.
4. Drive Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Solutioning, Practices, Delivery, Pricing, and Consult teams.
- Ensure certification supports strategic goals.
6. Compass‑Aligned Outcomes & Measurement
- Customer Impact: Ensure certified solutions meet customer outcomes., Measured by Win rate
- Execution Excellence: Improve cycle time and review predictability. Measured by: Did-vs-bid
- Collaboration & One‑Kyndryl: Align standards across teams.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in technical solutioning, architecture, or delivery/consult leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of multi‑tower solutions and delivery models.
- Experience facilitating senior‑level reviews.
- Strong program governance and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting global or multi‑market solution teams.
