We are currently seeking a Junior Specifications Technician to support and maintain product specification data, including chemical characteristics, for legacy Ecolab businesses across all global regions. In this role, you will perform both routine and complex tasks to ensure product specifications remain accurate and up to date. You will organize, audit, review, and publish new or updated specifications using our dedicated specification management software. 

This is a fix-term contract for 18 months (maternity cover).

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for reviewing scope and impact of specification change requests using technical information and professional judgment. 
  • Works closely with higher level GSS Associates.  May work with Chemists, Marketing, Regulatory and Supply Chain to provide feedback regarding the creation or modification of specifications. 
  • Writes clear and accurate Change Action (CA) descriptions detailing the required change and reason for change. Implement new or modified specifications, within specification system software.
  • Process requests with basic to moderate complexity.
  • Accesses and provides information contained in specification system software, to internal customers.
  • Uses technical information, system experience and professional judgment to provide input/suggestions that would aid in streamlining current specification processes and software.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Associate’s Degree and 2+ years experience in product data and/or product specification work.   
  • Good level of experience with MS Office (Word, Access, Excel). 
  • Fluency in English and Polish 
  • Experience with a Product Data Management system such as EPIC, SAP will be an asset 
  • Experience working with individuals on a global level
