Accountabilities:
- Own and improve enterprise endpoint security practices, including security baselines, CIS benchmark adoption, EDR coverage, tuning, and vulnerability management.
- Investigate, contain, document, and support security incident response activities while contributing to on-call responsibilities when required.
- Maintain and improve incident response processes, escalation procedures, and operational runbooks based on real-world investigations.
- Strengthen identity and access management practices, including phishing-resistant MFA, device trust, conditional access, and least-privilege controls.
- Support the implementation of secure access programs, including BYOD initiatives and identity governance improvements.
- Help develop and maintain data protection controls such as SASE, CASB, DLP, egress filtering, and sensitive data handling practices.
- Contribute to security guardrails for internal AI usage, including access controls for AI tools, agents, and related technologies.
- Investigate security alerts using SIEM platforms, improve detection quality, and reduce false positives through effective tuning.
- Build and implement AI-assisted automation workflows that improve security operations and reduce repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate closely with IT, infrastructure, and engineering teams to deliver security improvements through partnership and clear communication.
- 2–4 years of experience in enterprise security, infrastructure security, security operations, or incident response.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint security and EDR solutions, including investigation, triage, and security hardening practices.
- Knowledge of incident response fundamentals and familiarity with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- Practical experience with identity and access management concepts, including SSO, MFA, conditional access, identity providers, and least-privilege principles.
- Experience investigating security alerts through SIEM platforms and improving signal-to-noise quality.
- Familiarity with automation and AI-assisted workflows to improve security processes and operational efficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of well-defined projects and continuously develop technical skills.
- Experience with tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon, Okta, or Datadog is considered an advantage.
- Annual salary range of CAD $98,400 to $147,600, with compensation aligned to skills, experience, and professional growth.
