We are looking for an individual to implement the trade & distribution strategy across uniQure’s commercial pipeline of products. This role requires a versatile, analytically driven professional who can operate cross-functionally across Supply Chain, Finance, Legal and Market Access to ensure a smooth flow of product throughout the entire supply chain (from finished goods to delivery to end user). This individual will directly manage all channel intermediaries (3PL, Sd, SP) involved in the distribution of uniQure’s pipeline of products.

Salary Range: $188,000 - $228,000
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, relevant years of experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from where they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

Key result areas (major duties, accountabilities and responsibilities)
- Develop, execute and continuously refine the channel strategies for uniQure’s portfolio of products ensuring each strategy is tailored to the specific distribution dynamics for each therapy.
- Negotiate, execute, and manage all relationships with channel intermediaries (3PL, SD, SP).
- Partner with uniQure’s IT department to ensure all intermediaries are providing all relevant product flow and financial flow data for reporting purposes (ERP system).
- Design and monitor specific channel KPIs to ensure efficient supply chain dynamics and make recommendations to course correct as necessary.
- Identify, develop, and operationalize new business opportunities across the distribution network to improve efficiencies and save costs.
- Manage operational budget and oversee the financial planning for all distribution channel expenses and GTN line items.
- Collaborate to build internal capability and trade fluency across functions by developing educational resources and training materials that elevate distribution’s impact and understanding across the organization.
- Attend all pertinent industry conferences and symposiums.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred (MBA, RPh, Pharm D, MPH, MHA).
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical trade & distribution. Preferred experience in rare disease / gene therapy.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing 3PLs, SDs, and SPs relationships.
- Proven track record in contract negotiation and offer development withing a complex distribution channel environment.
- Previous launch experience in trade & distribution. Preferred launch experience in rare disease / gene therapy.
- Can operate independently as an individual contributor to drive results in a sometimes ambiguous and evolving environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort level with senior management presentations.
- Willingness to travel as needed (~30%).
