Accountabilities:

    As Vice President, Business Development-Health Plan Pharmacy Market, you will be responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives, developing executive-level relationships, and expanding business opportunities across the healthcare payer ecosystem. Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy for the health plan market, including target account prioritization, market analysis, pipeline development, and pursuit planning.
    • Building and expanding relationships with senior decision-makers across health plans, including pharmacy, medical management, finance, operations, strategy, and product leaders.
    • Identifying, qualifying, and closing complex business opportunities across consulting, analytics, advisory, and execution-focused solutions.
    • Partnering with clients to understand strategic priorities, regulatory challenges, operational needs, and market pressures to develop tailored solutions.
    • Leading the full business development lifecycle, including opportunity identification, solution shaping, proposal strategy, negotiations, and contract execution.
    • Driving account expansion through cross-sell and upsell opportunities by identifying additional client needs and strategic opportunities.
    • Collaborating with internal subject matter experts, sales operations, proposal teams, and leadership to create differentiated client solutions.
    • Providing market intelligence and client insights to influence service offerings, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
    • Leading annual and multi-year sales planning, including revenue objectives, growth priorities, target accounts, and pipeline management strategies.
    • Monitoring performance against business goals through forecasting, sales activity tracking, and continuous optimization of growth initiatives.
    • Serving as a senior commercial leader who promotes accountability, collaboration, and disciplined execution within the business development organization.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a seasoned healthcare business development executive with deep expertise in payer markets, pharmacy strategy, and consultative solution selling. You should bring strong commercial judgment, executive presence, and a proven ability to grow strategic accounts. Required qualifications include:

      • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmacy, PBM, payer services, or related healthcare industries.
      • Strong understanding of health plan markets, including commercial plans, Medicaid managed care, Medicare organizations, and payer strategies.
      • Demonstrated success in business development, strategic account growth, and complex consultative sales environments.
      • Proven experience leading large, multi-stakeholder sales pursuits and closing high-value opportunities.
      • Ability to engage credibly with senior healthcare executives and translate business challenges into differentiated solutions.
      • Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit management, drug cost strategies, healthcare analytics, and performance improvement opportunities.
      • Experience managing long sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
      • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
      • Strong pipeline management discipline with the ability to forecast accurately and execute against growth targets.
      • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market trends and convert insights into business opportunities.
      • Ability to collaborate effectively across commercial, consulting, analytics, and operational teams.
      • Benefits:

        • Competitive base salary range of approximately $180,000 - $210,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.
        • Target total compensation opportunity of approximately $300,000 - $350,000 with a performance-based incentive structure.
