WAP - Mechanical Maintenance Technician-all shifts-Willmar, MN- Jennie-O

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $22.00 - $38.00 per/hour, and your actual base pay knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.

 

 

Jennie-O Turkey Store - WAP Maintenance: Mechanical, Boiler Refrigeration, Electrical, Treatment Plant, Jack Shop- Willmar, MN

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform general maintenance tasks, including PM's on equipment per area, welding repairs as assigned.

2. Perform other duties assigned by techs or Supervisors.

3. Assist other team members in completing work orders/tasks per maintenance schedule.

4. May be part of the Emergency Response team.

5. Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 * May be required to lift in excess of 40 lbs. at times.

 * Ability to take initiative to troubleshoot for problems.

 * Ability to identify basic machine parts and maintenance supplies. Keep track of tools.

 * Practice good housekeeping and good manufacturing practices as outlined by company policies.

 * Ability to perform basic preventative maintenance works such as greasing, oiling, minor troubleshooting and repairs with minimal direction.

 * Possess a working knowledge of hand tools and their uses in routine work.

 * Ability to read/write/communicate in English.

 * Must be able to work as a team and independently.

 * Ability to read repair & parts manuals.
