Summary

Temporal’s Global Events & Field Marketing team is seeking an experienced Events & Field Marketing Manager to lead and grow our regional marketing efforts across India. In this highly cross-functional role, you will develop and execute integrated marketing programs that increase brand awareness, generate pipeline, and deepen engagement with customers, prospects, and the developer community.

A core responsibility of this role is driving the strategy, planning, execution, and operational management of Replay, Temporal’s flagship developer conference series, as we expand its presence into India.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You'll play a critical role in expanding Temporal’s field marketing presence across India while scaling Replay into a premier developer conference that showcases innovation, strengthens our community, and accelerates business growth. Working closely with Sales, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Global Marketing, you will deliver exceptional event experiences and integrated campaigns that drive measurable business outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, proactive marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’re comfortable operating independently, taking ownership from strategy through execution, and partnering across teams to deliver impactful programs that move the business forward.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Regional Strategy & Planning: Contribute to the annual and quarterly events calendar and budget for the APJ region, aligning with global priorities and local market needs.

  • Lead Replay India: Own the strategy, planning, execution, and operational management of Replay in India, delivering a world-class developer conference that drives community engagement, showcases innovation, and supports pipeline and brand growth.

  • Execute Regional Campaigns: Design and deliver integrated marketing programs tailored to regional goals, including account-based marketing, digital campaigns, workshops, meetups, and partner activations.

  • Lead Event Execution: Manage end-to-end planning and execution of trade shows, conferences, developer summits, and sponsorships; including logistics, vendor management, equipment, catering, travel, collateral, and swag.

  • Drive Community Engagement: Partner with Developer Relations to support grassroots programs, meetups, and champion networks that foster adoption and strengthen Temporal’s developer community.

  • Adapt Global Programs Locally: Localize global marketing initiatives to ensure cultural, language, and compliance alignment within the APJ region.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Sales to drive pipeline creation and acceleration, and with Marketing teams to plan pre-, during-, and post-event engagement programs.

  • Measure & Optimize: Track performance, budgets, and ROI of all regional programs, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of field marketing or demand generation experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, developer tools, infrastructure, or cloud industries.

  • Proven success executing regional marketing programs that drive awareness, adoption, and pipeline growth.

  • Strong experience managing events of all sizes – from grassroots meetups to large-scale conferences.

  • Hands-on expertise with event sponsorships, including contract negotiation, vendor management, and deliverables.

  • Familiarity with India & APJ market dynamics, cultural nuances, and compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple projects against tight deadlines.

  • Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, and Developer Relations teams.

  • Experience using marketing technologies such as Salesforce and Marketo (preferred, not required)

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills.

  • Passion for open source, developer communities, and distributed systems.

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is ₹4,080,000 - ₹5,100,000.

  • This role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan
