Job Summary :
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth and enhancing brand awareness for Fire Detection products in West, India. You will work closely with the sales team, consultants, developers, and end users to generate demand from the specification stage of relevant projects.
The main goal of this role is to identify and develop solutions for vertical markets, uncover new business opportunities, and develop strategic sales with prestigious customers such as end users, consultants, and contractors. You will establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients to promote the sales of Fire Detection products across various sectors.
Part of your daily activities will involve expanding brand awareness in the territory. You will prepare and deliver high-quality technical seminars, presentations, and product demonstrations to stakeholders, while recommending viable solutions for their project requirements. A strong technical background in Fire Detection is essential.
What will you do?
Utilize in-depth technical knowledge of Fire Detection products to support sales teams, consultants, and end users in design and specification.
Liaise with R&D, Training, Product Management, and Technical Support to ensure proposals include technical solutions that meet customer needs according to Johnson Controls product strategies.
Develop necessary design, technical, and marketing tools to support clients on existing and new products.
Maintain records of target opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company-approved databases to improve forecast accuracy.
Demonstrate a self-motivated and proactive attitude, driving territory growth through exceptional planning, organization, and time management skills.
What we look for?
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
10-15 Years of work experience in technical sales or business development related to fire detection products.
Excellent presentation and persuasion skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
Strong technical knowledge of Fire Detection brands.
High level prospecting skills and proactive behavior.
Good command of the English language.

Drive early engagement with all key stakeholders (End users, Consultants, Architects, PMC’s etc..) in identified opportunities to influence product specifications and build strong mindshare.
Conduct seminars, demonstrations, etc. in order to generate, develop, and qualify leads for prospective customers.
Participate in trade shows, special product demonstrations and other events with the objective of increasing sales and enhancing the company’s image.
Willingness to travel as required.
Unquestionable integrity and ethics.
A results-driven mentality with a can-do attitude and ability to provide out-of-the-box solutions.
Knowledge of NFPA 72/IBC & relevant codes and standards is desirable
