Sr. Communications Manager, Energy, Sustainability Communications
Key job responsibilities
- Define, develop, and oversee end-to-end execution of carbon free energy communications strategies and programs
- Have extremely high standards and judgement with the ability to deliver strategic communications counsel to Amazon senior leaders and executives on both short-and-long-term challenges and opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally to plan and execute communications campaigns
- Manage reputational issues with internal stakeholders and members of the media
- Develop and strengthen relationships with sustainability, business, and trade media
- Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high judgment and professionalism
- Manage external communications agencies and budgets
Basic qualifications
- 10+ years of professional communications, public relations, or public affairs experiencePreferred qualifications
- Energy communications experience- Experience planning high visibility participation in sustainability and energy events including New York Climate Week, London Climate Action Week, and CERA Week
- Sustainability communications experience
- Crisis communications and issues management experience
- The ability to work autonomously at times and roll up sleeves to get the job done
- Outstanding attention to detail and bias for action
- Thrives in a collaborative environment with experience working on large or global teams
- Strong judgment and ability to make decisions in real-time
- Executive thought leadership experience
- Strong AI skills

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
