Accountabilities:
- Manage day-to-day general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations across monthly and quarterly close cycles
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, supporting both internal stakeholders and external reporting requirements
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, interpret financial data, and explain key variances and fluctuations
- Support payroll accounting processes, including reconciliation of benefits, taxes, 401(k), and related liabilities in collaboration with HR and external providers
- Assist with audit preparation and work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and analysis
- Support equity accounting activities, including stock-based compensation such as options and RSUs
- Help develop and improve accounting processes with a focus on automation, scalability, and efficiency
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and GAAP standards
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or general ledger roles
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and core accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial systems and reporting tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Preferred: CPA certification (or in progress), experience with QuickBooks, and exposure to healthcare or PBM environments
- Competitive salary range ($58,000 – $76,000) with bonus eligibility
