Accountabilities:

    This role is responsible for managing core accounting operations and supporting accurate financial reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles. You will play a key part in maintaining financial integrity while improving processes and supporting cross-functional initiatives.

    • Manage day-to-day general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations across monthly and quarterly close cycles
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports, supporting both internal stakeholders and external reporting requirements
    • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, interpret financial data, and explain key variances and fluctuations
    • Support payroll accounting processes, including reconciliation of benefits, taxes, 401(k), and related liabilities in collaboration with HR and external providers
    • Assist with audit preparation and work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance
    • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights and analysis
    • Support equity accounting activities, including stock-based compensation such as options and RSUs
    • Help develop and improve accounting processes with a focus on automation, scalability, and efficiency
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and GAAP standards
    • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
    • Requirements

      This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently in a remote environment while collaborating across teams.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
      • 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or general ledger roles
      • Solid understanding of US GAAP and core accounting principles
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
      • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial systems and reporting tools
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
      • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
      • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
      • Preferred: CPA certification (or in progress), experience with QuickBooks, and exposure to healthcare or PBM environments
