Job Description:

The Imaging Coordinator I support the manager in accomplishing the mission of the organization by leading frontline caregivers to ensure optimal, safety, quality, satisfaction, engagement, compliance, operations, staffing, processes, efficiency, training, mentoring, etc. Role may include one or more imaging modalities. Fundamentally coordinates the daily team activities. Primarily Coordinates teams in Community level hospitals but may also include select teams in Trauma level hospitals. Coordination may include small mixed modality or larger single modality teams.

Join the Imaging team at Park City Hospital in a unique leadership-support role that combines both administrative coordination responsibilities and hands-on clinical work. This position will flex between operational support and direct patient care based on department needs, offering variety and the opportunity to make a broad impact across the department.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures patient, caregiver, and guest safety and satisfaction in accordance with existing principles and standards. 
  • Ensures provision of high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic Imaging services in an operationally effective and efficient manner.
  • Promotes caregiver engagement and team initiatives. Assists in hiring, orienting, training, staffing, retaining, evaluating, and motivating competent engaged caregivers.
  • Maintains positive relationships within the department and facility including other departments, Radiologists, referring physicians, and customers.
  • Early adopter, exemplar, implementer, super user, problem solver, champion, and idea generator.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Professional Clinical Certification/Registration, i.e.; ARRT, ARDMS, etc.
  • Current state Rad Tech License (if required for clinical discipline)
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Demonstrated imaging technologist experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five years of progressive imaging experience preferred.
  • Experience in X-Ray and CT, with additional modality experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior leadership, coordinator, charge tech, or operational support experience in an imaging department preferred.
  • Experience supporting both administrative functions and direct clinical patient care.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
  • For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$43.09 - $66.47
