About the role

Credo is seeking a Field Application Engineer to join the AE Team. You will work closely with Internal AE team and working on customers supports to make sure the chip and systems are running issue-free on customer environment, and analyze customer system to provide clear debug instructions to the team. You will be responsible for assisting the Internal AE team verifying and validating post-silicon High-Speed SerDes Ethernet Linecard Products internally and on customer environment, including developing high efficiency Python Automation Scripts, testing and evaluating chip performance on various environments in system level, and implementing and improving SerDes Algorithm and Performance. You will need to cooperate with the Design Team, Production Team, and Firmware Team to make sure the chip is able to run under different conditions This position will be onsite at our San Jose, CA HQ.
 
Base salary range is $65,000 - $100,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related major with 1+ years of experience.
  • Strong Customer Facing Skills.
  • Proficient skills in python programming languages and skills in understanding and developing codes under available structures.
  • Basic knowledge in DSP and Digital Design.
  • Experience with handling and running high-speed test equipment.
  • Team oriented with strong analytical skills, self-driven with desire to deliver beyond the scope of each job. 
  • Strong Multi-tasking skills to handle different requests.
     
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related major with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experiences with C and Firmware Development, familiar with Git.
  • Knowledge in Ethernet top level including Retimer, Bitmux, MAC/PCS and MAC/Sec is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, and ability to handle and adapt in new      generations of technologies.
  • Strong teamwork orientation and collaborative approach
  • Skills in developing automation test scripts for link-up, training and diagnostics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Customer on Internal Chip and IP evaluations and demonstrations.
  • Using Test and Debug Scripts and analyze SerDes Behaviors in Customer and Internal Environments.
  • Performing System Level Verification and Validation under different testing environments.
  • Analyzing and Debugging High Speed Systems for different speeds.
  • Working with Internal AE teams and Design Team to generate stable firmware with SerDes Algorithms.
  • Understand SLT Test Scripts and work with Production Team to run large quantity sample tests.
  • Generating high quality reports based on customer evaluations and testing results.
