This is a remote opportunity based in the United States and reporting to the Senior Vice President, Global Sales. The Sales Associate will focus on new-logo prospecting and early-stage business development across North American electric utility accounts. This role is ideal for a motivated, developing sales professional who is eager to build pipeline, identify new opportunities, and help expand Sentient Energy’s presence in the Smart Grid marketplace. The Associate will support outreach to prospective utility customers, qualify opportunities, coordinate discovery conversations, and partner with senior sales, Technical Sales, Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, and Advanced Technology teams to advance customer engagement and position Sentient Energy solutions around utility reliability goals. JOB SUMMARY Use a proactive “sales hunter” mindset to identify, pursue, and develop new-logo opportunities with North American electric utility accountsResearch target utilities, key stakeholders, reliability initiatives, funding drivers, and operational priorities to support highly relevant outreachBuild and execute outbound prospecting campaigns through email, phone, LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, and other channels to create qualified sales conversationsQualify inbound and outbound opportunities by uncovering customer needs, business drivers, decision criteria, timing, budget, and next stepsCreate and maintain a healthy pipeline of early-stage opportunities that supports quarterly bookings, revenue, and new-logo growth objectivesSchedule discovery meetings and coordinate handoffs to senior sales leaders and Technical Sales team members for solution scoping, demonstrations, and deeper customer engagementPartner with Technical Sales, Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, and Advanced Technology teams to position Sentient Energy solutions around customer reliability goals and emerging utility needsMaintain accurate account, contact, activity, and opportunity information in Sentient Energy’s Customer Relationship Management systemProvide regular updates on prospecting activity, pipeline development, opportunity status, and customer feedback to sales leadershipBring the “Voice of the Customer” back to Sentient Energy by sharing market insights, objections, competitive intelligence, and emerging customer prioritiesContinuously test, adopt, and improve prospecting messages, sales motions, and best practices to increase engagement and conversion with target...
