STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - PAE MISSION PARTNER ENVIRONMENT (ME9). Provides expert technical advice and counsel to senior executives on strategic communications, messaging, and programmatic public affairs initiatives to ensure organizational alignment and mitigate public relations risks. Drafts high-level articles, speeches, and specialized content for senior leadership and diverse internal and external audiences to communicate complex program achievements, policy changes, and organizational activities. Develops instructional materials and delivers training on change management, strategic communication, and mission-related competencies to align the workforce and enhance operational cohesion. Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of administrative and analytical support personnel to ensure efficient office operations, accurate analytical studies, and the effective prioritization of executive resources.
