Role Description

The Information Technology group at Form Energy collaborates closely and supports end users across the U.S. in four locations and with a distributed workforce of onsite, hybrid, and remote employees. As a Senior Desktop Support specialist within the Service and Support team, you will serve as a key escalation point for complex technical issues, support critical IT hardware and software across user and lab environments, and help mentor and develop less-senior support staff.

What you'll do:

  • Provide tier 1-3 and some tier 4 support to Form Energy employees.

  • Configure, maintain, and support IT hardware including user laptops, desktops, and lab computers.

  • Install and configure appropriate software according to specifications; set some of these specifications.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot local networks.

  • Set up new printers, office and lab.

  • Plan and work on special projects.

  • Assist with the onboarding of employees.

  • Manage an inventory of IT assets and supplies.

  • Create and document processes.

  • Mentor and train less-senior staff.

What you'll bring:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience and 4+ years of IT experience.

  • IT support / helpdesk experience with Windows and Mac in an AD environment. Must have extensive Mac experience.

  • Device management experience, including computer and MDM management.

  • Experience with administration of standard business applications, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Adobe Acrobat, 1Password, Jira, and VPN.

  • Outstanding customer service skills, communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask; a quick learner who is adaptable.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, including the ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

  • Experience supporting onsite and remote users.

  • Experience with setup and support of network and stand-alone printers.

  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs and work in small spaces. Ability and willingness to work in a lab is required.
