Accountabilities:

    The Sales Specialist will be responsible for developing commercial strategies, expanding market opportunities, and managing customer relationships within the Life Sciences sector. The role requires a consultative approach, strong technical understanding, and the ability to drive revenue growth through strategic account management and new business development.

    • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed commercial targets within the assigned territory.
    • Prospect new customers and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts through active market development.
    • Manage strategic accounts and build long-term relationships with researchers, laboratory managers, key opinion leaders, and decision-makers.
    • Conduct technical and commercial visits to universities, research centers, hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, and industrial organizations.
    • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and scientific seminars to support customer engagement.
    • Partner with application specialists to understand customer challenges and recommend the most appropriate solutions.
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Technical Support, Applications, and Services teams to maximize customer satisfaction and commercial results.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the Life Sciences industry.
    • Manage sales pipelines, forecasts, CRM information, and customer activity tracking.
    • Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals while ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a technically skilled sales professional with experience in Life Sciences, scientific research, or diagnostic markets. This role requires strong commercial capabilities, scientific knowledge, and the ability to develop trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, or related Life Sciences fields.
      • 3–5 years of experience in technical sales within Life Sciences, scientific research, biotechnology, or diagnostic segments.
      • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
      • Experience managing strategic accounts and consultative sales processes involving high-value solutions.
      • Demonstrated ability to prospect new customers, develop markets, and generate new business opportunities.
      • Strong knowledge of scientific and laboratory workflows.
      • Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear customer value propositions.
      • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar tools.
      • Experience with territory planning, account strategy, pipeline management, forecasting, and commercial metrics.
      • Ability to create, present, and negotiate commercial proposals.
      • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
      • Consultative mindset with strong customer orientation.
      • Proactive, autonomous, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
      • Ability to work effectively in collaborative and matrixed environments.
      • Intermediate or advanced English proficiency.
      • Spanish proficiency is considered an advantage, especially for LATAM market interactions.
      • Knowledge of molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, NGS, cell culture, flow cytometry, laboratory automation, or scientific instrumentation is desirable.
      • Master’s degree, specialization in Life Sciences, or MBA/postgraduate studies in Business Management are considered advantages.
