Accountabilities:
- Advise senior technology and business leaders on technology strategy, priorities, operating models, and transformation initiatives.
- Conduct best practice reviews, identify improvement opportunities, and develop realistic action plans aligned with business objectives.
- Evaluate technology infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity practices, and operational processes to strengthen performance and resilience.
- Support technology roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Provide guidance on vendor selection, vendor oversight, technology partnerships, and supplier management.
- Develop and improve technology policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and control measures.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and scoring frameworks to measure technology maturity and operational effectiveness.
- Support the design, development, deployment, and optimization of applications, systems, and technology platforms.
- Advise on cybersecurity strategy, disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Help optimize IT infrastructure across distributed, remote, and enterprise environments while maintaining security and reliability standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to technology teams, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.
- Generate innovative solutions to complex technology challenges and support business growth through effective technology enablement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of proven experience as a Director of Technology or similar senior technology leadership role within an alternative asset firm or family office.
- Extensive knowledge across IT strategy, application management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, digital platforms, architecture, and technology operations.
- Strong understanding of investment technology ecosystems, including hosted and on-premise platforms supporting financial services organizations.
- Experience with investment technology vendors and platforms such as portfolio management systems, investment accounting solutions, order management systems, market data platforms, and related tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technology budgets, resources, priorities, and operational investments effectively.
- Strong understanding of business processes, regulatory expectations, and technology requirements within investment management environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive advisory skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple engagements, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technology challenges into practical business solutions.
