This position is responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of the manufacturing facility as well as equipment maintenance and repairs. Supports and performs all aspects of facility and machine maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs maintenance and diagnostic operations on production machinery including but not limited to all CNC and non-CNC machinery, packaging machinery, systems, and custom-made manufacturing machinery.
- Follows preventative maintenance program to keep all equipment maintenance up to date and in accordance with Regulatory requirements. File and organize preventative maintenance paperwork in preparation of audits. Supports regulatory during audits.
- Upgrades and installs new equipment as needed. Works with venders, operators, and department heads to keep project moving as smooth as possible. Considers impact of project on production and plans accordingly.
- New equipment: Writes work instructions, helps determine layout, performs installation qualifications, and adds equipment to preventative maintenance program.
- Support design and development of new manufacturing systems and processes.
- Communicates any manufacturing or facility issues that have an impact on daily operation or production with upper management.
- Keeps machine calibrations up to date.
- Maintains forklifts and other warehouse vehicles.
- Performs other reasonably related duties that may be assigned.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- PLC Experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting manuals providing instruction in repair and maintenance of various machinery and equipment
- Proficiency in operating powered tools, equipment, and machinery
- Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
- Ability to pass machine driver safety training for all required equipment
- Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code)

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 4 or more years of related experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
