Principal/Senior Technology Sales Representative (Database & Hardware)

Role Overview

As a Senior Technology Sales Representative, you will sell a subset of products or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts, non-named accounts, or within a defined geographical territory. Your primary job duty is to sell technology, software products and related services in this defined territory. You will act as a leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution: Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities. Manage accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support.
  • Strategic Growth: Leverage the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Successfully close new Oracle business.
  • Partner Development: Build and expand business partner revenue and self-sufficiency.
  • Account Management: Serve as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues.
  • Operational Excellence: Ability to forecast and manage sales expenses. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills around specialization.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Professional Experience & Education
    • Experience: 5 years of applicable experience, including 4 years of technology sales experience.
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
    • Track Record: Proven track record of exceeding sales objectives and territory/account development.
  • Specific Competencies
    • Engage senior customer stakeholders, including CIO, CTO, and CFO-level executives, to articulate technology value in business terms.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technology capabilities into business, financial, and risk outcomes for enterprise customers.
    • Client Resources (Critical): Must possess established resources and relationships with customers in the Database and Oracle Hardware sectors.
    • Resilience: Strong ability to handle pressure and thrive in a high-intensity, target-driven environment.
    • Collaboration: Excellent team cooperation spirit; ability to work effectively within internal teams and external partners.
