What this job involves:

As a General Maintenance Worker at JLL, you will support the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems across multiple client facilities. This mobile position requires you to assist senior technicians in maintenance and repair efforts while independently performing a variety of building maintenance tasks. We believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will perform inspections and repairs to interior and exterior property areas, including walls, flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, and grounds maintenance such as weeding and basic landscaping. This role includes mandatory overtime to support continuous facility operations, and you will share a vehicle with the Senior HVAC Technician to travel between assigned sites. Your contributions help us create exceptional experiences for our clients while advancing your skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
  • Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, documenting as-found conditions and reporting issues that may impact client occupancy and operations.
  • Assist senior technicians and operations teams in the maintenance and repair of building equipment, HVAC systems, and production equipment as directed.
  • Complete general interior maintenance tasks including hanging pictures, whiteboards, and televisions; repairing doors; and maintaining lighting systems by replacing bulbs.
  • Perform exterior grounds maintenance including weeding, basic landscaping tasks, debris removal, and upkeep of property walkways and common areas.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs.
  • Utilize CMMS systems (Corrigo) to document all work performed, update work order status in real time, and maintain accurate service records.
  • Travel between multiple client sites in a shared vehicle, exercising defensive driving practices and conducting daily vehicle safety inspections.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
  • Valid state driver's license (must be RealID compliant) with clean driving record; ability to travel between multiple sites daily in a shared vehicle.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs., work from heights, and climb ladders up to 30 feet while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
  • Capability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, stoop, lift, and perform overhead work in various conditions including extreme temperatures and outdoor environments.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with clients, tenants, and team members.
  • Self-motivated individuals who can work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Availability for mandatory overtime to support mobile maintenance responsibilities and after-hours emergency response needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an applicable technical training program or relevant trade certifications.
  • Experience utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as Corrigo or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of OSHA standards, building codes, and regulations related to facility maintenance and safety.
  • Previous experience in a mobile or multi-site maintenance role with demonstrated ability to manage time effectively across multiple locations.
  • Familiarity with proper storage, usage, and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.

Estimated compensation for this position:

50,300.00 – 72,900.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
