A Day in the Life
An exciting opportunity awaits you to join Medtronic as an Enterprise Accounts Manager based in Melbourne, leading a team of Strategic Account Managers supporting the ANZ Medical Surgical (MS), Cardiovascular (CV) and Neuroscience (NS) Enterprise Accounts businesses. You will drive growth across the private sector within the Western Territory (VIC, TAS, SA, NT and WA).
In this senior leadership role, you will bring proven experience leading a direct sales organisation and delivering strategic commercial outcomes in complex healthcare environments. Partnering closely with Strategic Account Managers, Operating Unit leaders and cross‑functional teams, you will build long‑term partnerships with national private hospital buying groups and hospital networks.
Success in this role will require strong commercial and financial acumen, including the ability to analyse financial data, structure innovative commercial proposals, and solve complex customer challenges. With strong executive presence, you will confidently engage with C‑suite stakeholders and position Medtronic as a trusted strategic partner.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Lead and develop a regional team of Strategic Account Managers (3–5 direct reports), driving performance and capability
Develop and execute the regional sales strategy to achieve AOP, growth targets, and Enterprise Accounts (EA) objectives
Contribute to annual strategic planning, budgeting, and target setting for the EA ANZ business
Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital and buying group C‑suite stakeholders (CEOs, CFOs, Procurement Leaders)
Lead customer engagement, negotiations, and execution of strategic commercial partnerships and EA contracts
Identify growth opportunities within key accounts by leveraging customer insights, data, and market intelligence
Oversee commercial proposal development, pricing strategy, offer modelling, contract negotiations, and risk management
Drive share of wallet growth while protecting value and minimising price erosion through value‑based partnerships
Monitor sales forecasts and team performance, ensuring delivery against targets and account plans
Represent the team in leadership discussions and business reviews with EA&S ANZ leadership
Foster a culture of continuous improvement across sales processes and customer engagement practices
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is required; Post-Graduate qualifications is desirable
5-10+ years in senior Sales or Commercial leadership roles with strong track record
5+ years’ experience leading teams of sales professionals (3-5+ direct reports)
Broader sales leadership experience highly regarded (beyond Enterprise/Strategic Accounts)
Medical device or healthcare experience preferred, though other sectors considered
Strong commercial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue analysis
Experience setting strategy, quotas, and territory plans
Confident presenting and influencing at executive or board level
Strong leadership, team engagement, and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems such as Salesforce
Willingness to travel within the region and work flexibly when required
