Senior Product Owner

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for conveying the Medicaid product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Senior Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.The Senior Product Owner:
- Maximizes value of product created by Agile team
- Liaises with Medicaid market stakeholders and the development team ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, and by the deadline
- Serves as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making
- Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding business approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
- Accountable for managing and prioritizing the team's backlog (New State Implementation, Market Migration, Run the Business)
- Facilitates weekly product backlog review session and review new change request, enhancements and development items
- Accountable for documenting business requirements. Understating and building functional stories and process flows, ensuring that design satisfies each business need
- Showcases demonstrations to receive feedback from stakeholder(s) on either a proposed design of a requested solution and/or allowing stakeholders to review a production ready solution end to end
- Supports SIT Testing through clarifications on requirements and coordinates UAT Testing with aligned partners
- Business planning for upgrades and patches
- Schedule will be Monday-Friday, business hours, primarily in Eastern Standard Time Zone

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years experience of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and/or Agile Development Methodologies
- 5+ years of experience in technology implementations and/or product/project management
- Problem solver who can find viable solutions that meets business needs, absent from all ideal tools and resources
- Experience facilitating presentations to stakeholders, presenting completed ideas and solutions
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills
- Critical thinker who can anticipate team needs and take initiative to present ideas, ask the right questions and deliver the highest quality work
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines
- Experience gathering market requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, meeting facilitation, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified SAFe® Product Owner/ Product Manager or equivalent
- Agile /Scrum certification (Agile Practitioner, Scrum Alliance, etc.)
- Experience in Healthcare Care Management Applications and Configurations
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
