About the Role:
CrowdStrike is in search of a Systems Engineer III to join our growing Production Services team. The candidate will play an important role in the architecture and management of our production systems environments.
What You’ll Do:
Ability to understand complex technical systems architecture and help make recommendations for improvement
Familiarity with large-scale production deployments of servers and applications inside internal datacenter
Ability to read and write moderate to complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, alarms. (common uses: Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, Go)
Troubleshoot server hardware issues
On-call rotation with other team members
What You’ll Need:
Experience with Bare Metal Orchestration services (OpenStack, Canonical MaaS, etc)
Experience with Linux engineering and administration for thousands of bare metal and virtual machines
Experience with deployment and management of container orchestration services (Kubernetes)
Experience with virtualization technologies (OpenStack Nova, VMWare ESXi)
Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins
Experience with configuration management like Chef, Ansible, Salt
Experience with working on small to large scale projects
Experience writing technical documentation
5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in a production role
2-3 business related trips per year for group meetings
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
Bonus Points:
Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP
Knowledge of bare metal provisioning technologies, such as Canonical MaaS and Openstack
Knowledge of Linux Operating systems, such as Ubuntu and RedHat
Knowledge of OSI model
Knowledge of block storage solutions, such as TrueNAS
Knowledge of container systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of monitoring solutions, such as Prometheus, Grafana and Zabbix
Knowledge with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins
Knowledge with configuration management like Chef, Ansible, Salt
Knowledge with threat intelligence and mobile technology a plus
Ability to Demonstrate:
Self-learning capabilities, taking initiative in a fast pace/quickly changing environment
Work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team
Team-player, positive attitude and flexible with a distributed team in multiple time zone
Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make good, timely decisions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
