Accountabilities:
- Track and report on corrective actions related to safety investigations and facility inspections
- Assist in safety investigations, inspections, site visits, and related field activities across different shifts
- Prepare and distribute safety reports, KPI dashboards, and analytical summaries for leadership review
- Support the maintenance of investigation files, documentation systems, and internal safety communications
- Contribute to safety communications, job aids, and updates across operational teams and intranet platforms
- Analyze safety data using basic statistical and trend analysis methods to support decision-making
- Ensure accurate documentation and follow-up on outstanding safety and compliance items
- Support the continuous improvement of safety processes, programs, and reporting tools
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline, combined with relevant experience
- Eligibility or progress toward CRST, CRSP, CSP, or CIH certification is preferred
- Strong understanding of occupational health and safety legislation and regulatory frameworks (Ontario OH&S Act and related standards)
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and trend identification in a safety or operational context
- Proficiency with office tools and reporting software such as Excel, Access, SharePoint, and reporting systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to clarity and detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of safety management systems, inspections, and incident investigation processes is an asset
