Operations Buyer and Contract Master Data Specialist (German speaker)

Join us and be part of a global team that keeps IBM moving forward, while building your own future in a dynamic and evolving environment. **Your role and responsibilities** As an Operations Buyer and Contract Master Data Professional, you will act as a first point of contact for all Procurement related activities of a client organization including but not limited to contract master data management. You will be responsible for Procurement advisory services, full buyer purchase order placement and for providing support for Procurement applications and process related help requests. You will be aligned by categories and will ensure smooth operation of category directives in the day-to-day business. Why you’ll love your job: * You will review requisition requirements and requests including contract master data management, enforce category directives and approve for automated purchase order generation or create order manually as well as create, amend, and terminate contracts in client dedicated platform. * You will act as subject matter expert in end to end purchasing processes including but not limited to contract master data management as well as PR to PR activities. * You will liaise with requesters/suppliers/category managers for additional information or any questions * You will provide guidance for client specific processes and procedures, including the procurement policy and the execution of category strategies * You will provide support in new supplier setups or extensions and interface with clients and suppliers on payment issues **Required technical and professional expertise** * Strong communication skills and fluency in English and in German * Team player attitude with attention to detail and quality driven approach * Strong time management and prioritization skills * Skills to ensure high client and stakeholder satisfaction * Demonstrated understanding of how to translate business requirements into Procurement operations or specifications with best value and customer service in mind **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Market Intelligence Knowledge: Understanding of market intelligence and benchmarking related to relevant commodities to inform procurement decisions. * Procurement Tool Familiarity: Exposure to procurement-related tools to process POs and document supplier/PO related information. * Category Supplier Knowledge: Understanding of specific categories and category suppliers to effectively negotiate and manage relationships.
