Role profile:

Grow market share by proactively developing and deploying domain-based sales strategies in collaboration with account management and utilizing specialist knowledge to deliver gross sales. Focusing on growth based on value sales. Assist in key retention situations as the need arises.  The role manages the largest strategic accounts.

Role summary:

Highly driven, you meet and exceed targets by leading with customer value, winning trust with your natural people skills and have an in-depth proposition knowledge. You know how to structure deals and how to leverage market and business acumen to outsell the competition. With a close eye on the sales pipeline, you will identify more opportunities daily, and you will inspire customers to renew their contracts with us.

The role of the Data & Feeds Sales Specialist, within the high performing Data & Feeds group, will focus on commercializing the next generation of software and data solutions Broker Dealers, Asset Managers, Corporates, and other financial institutions for front, middle, and back office operations.

You will be tasked with executing our strategy for long term sustainable growth of LSEG’s footprint in this area through an understanding of market and competitive dynamics and will detail and drive Sales execution. The role will require the successful candidate to possess strong direction-setting and influencing skills to work with the local Account Management teams to deliver results

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing in-depth customer and market insights, to identify new business opportunities and drive the sales process
  • Partnering with technical sales engineering experts, you will execute through strong collaborative relationships across matrixed functions, including Account Management, Product, Marketing, Sales Strategy, and external partners
  • Monitoring all aspects of key competitors, analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and develop strategies to achieve competitive advantage
  • Driving our thought-leadership agenda as the internal and external spokesperson for your proposition, supporting community building
  • Having a strong eye for business and commercial strategy
  • Being able to influence individuals as well as groups in meetings
  • Being able to work to tight deadlines in a high performance and inspiring environment
  • Proactively identifying pipeline opportunities
  • Delivering customer demonstrations on their specific propositions

What you'll bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in selling financial data and solutions
  • Outstanding solutions selling skills with a proven Track Record in a quota-bearing environment
  • Highly Driven and Self-Motivated Knowledge and direct experience in selling solutions to the Financial Services community
  • Creative problem solver and good sales ideation skills
  • Presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong listening skills and interpersonal skills
  • Expert understanding of the Financial Services and Competitor Landscape
  • Strong technical knowledge specifically within the financial markets mid and back office operations domain
