We are hiring for Echocardiograph Technologist position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is Per diem, 0.01 FTE, Variable Shift, Hours Per Week as needed.

Acquires and evaluates sonographic images and related clinical data.  Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic data and primary echo diagnosis to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.  Required registry with Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers the subspecialty of Cardiology.

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of an AMA accredited Ultrasound program (minimum of one year in length) or Impending graduation within 2 months of program completion and approval of hiring manager. Performed a minimum of 600 Echocardiographic exams/and or 800 clinical hours, or equivalent educ/experience
  • Associate's Degree in a related health care field.
  • Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International  
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart 
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years recent full-time experience in Echocardiography. 
  • Recent experience in Pediatric Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography.
