Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and modern engineering practices.
- Build and optimize cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.
- Develop secure, performant, and maintainable software solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Contribute to frontend development using JavaScript, React, and TypeScript when required.
- Collaborate with clients, product stakeholders, designers, and engineers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, provide recommendations, and communicate project progress with stakeholders.
- Participate in architecture design, technical planning, estimation, and implementation activities.
- Apply software engineering best practices including SOLID principles, design patterns, testing strategies, and secure development practices.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and contribute to technical communities and engineering practices.
- Drive projects independently from initial concept through deployment while ensuring quality and reliability.
- Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in backend development using Node.js and API design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming principles, including abstraction and encapsulation.
- Experience applying SOLID principles and common architectural and design patterns.
- Knowledge of serverless architectures and cloud-native development approaches.
- Experience designing enterprise-level systems using approaches such as UML, C4, or ArchiMate.
- Strong understanding of testing practices, including unit testing and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with OWASP security principles and secure software development practices.
- Experience working with Agile software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines, frontend build tools, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting technical growth within teams.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
