Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with flexibility between working onsite and remotely. The role resides in the Precision Strike & Sensing Solutions (PS) business area. With facilities in Huntsville AL, Hudson, NH, and Cedar Rapids, IA; PS designs and manufactures state-of-the-art systems and technology that enable our customers to execute their precision strike missions.

BAE Precision Guidance and Sensor Solutions (PGSS) is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee the design, development, integration, and initial production of our Semi-Active Laser Guided Seeker into a classified weapon. The successful candidate will act as the overall Program Manager for the program from business winning through sustainment phase, and will direct the efforts of cross-functional teams over the program life cycle. The Program Manager will also serve as the primary liaison and POC with Prime customer and/or Government representatives on technical and project issues. The ideal Program Manager should have a strong understanding of program management fundamentals, possess the ability to align and inspire a cross-functional, geographically-diverse team to deliver on time and under budget.
In this job, you will:
- Direct all phases of program execution and performance. Manage programs with the Life Cycle Management (LCM) Framework for phase and gate reviews
- Manage program cost, schedule, risk, and technical objectives
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical, manufacturing, and administrative staff
- Serve as the primary interface with the customer, leading program reviews, and resolving complex issues
- Establish and manage program milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation plans
- Use earned value, schedule and R&O management principles
- Support proposal development for follow on production contracts including negotiations, changes, and execution of all program terms and deliverables
- Possess 7+ years of experience of managing projects as a Program Manager. Weapons-related programs or background preferred
- Manage Integrated Master Schedules, project budget management, and deliverables
- Possess strong leadership and organizational skills
- Possess strong communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of BAE Systems senior management regarding program performance status
- Have knowledge of hardware development and integration experience
- Strong risk and opportunity management
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- U.S Citizen
- Current security clearance of Secret
- Project Management or Project Engineering Management experience
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Master’s Degree
- PMP Certification
- Understanding of BAE Systems portfolio of products/technologies
- Demonstrated expertise in program management processes including program scoping and planning, risk and opportunity management, earned value management, etc.
- Experience in Seeker or Weapons Technology
- Experience working with Intellectual Property
- Development program management experience (hardware, software, and systems)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $136000 - $231200
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
