• Provide clinical functions performed by pharmacists.
• Call patients and providers for medication related inquiries. Process and dispense medications, verification, and consultation for new and existing patients.
• Assist pharmacist-in-charge in monitoring the workflow and reaching the pharmacy metrics goals.
• Perform authorization, eligibility, and billing tasks.
• Work with the director of the pharmacy in completing compliance related tasks.
• Develop educational materials for members and providers as requested.
• Assist in new and existing contracts as needed.

The Pharmacy Resident participates in a one-year residency program focused on specialty pharmacy operations, clinical pharmacy services, compliance, and patient care support. · Active pharmacist license or eligibility for pharmacist licensure in California. The resident must obtain pharmacist licensure from the California State Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of the program start date.
