This Senior position is seeking a catalytic leader who thrives on driving change, coaching multi-function teams of managers and individual contributors, and raising the bar on quality for world-class aerospace programs. Join Boeing Ridley Park as a Senior Quality Leader in Fabrication and make a visible, measurable impact across composites, metal/tube fabrication, visual inspection, and non-destructive testing. This Leader interfaces with executive and senior leaders across Fabrication, divisions, programs and functional partners supporting execution of quality strategies, problem solving / risk mitigation and compliance.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leads a team of manager and non-manager employees executing quality and technical processes
Provides education, coaching and support effective execution of Quality Management System compliance
Responsible for managing quality performance health measures within fabrication
Responsible for quality review of proposals / requirements, work onboarding and resource planning
Develops and executes quality strategies to improve performance and compliance; Serves as engaged partner in extending and executing BDS Fabrication Quality and NDT strategies
Manages resources within budget, provides quality system management and leads quality performance improvements through disciplined processes aligned with industry standards and customer requirements.
Effective change leader; Ability to support an environment of inclusion, transparency and trust
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, functional stakeholders / peers, and direct reports.
Manages, develops and motivates employees while fostering an inclusive culture
Direct experience communicating effectively, collaborating, and building consensus with functional stakeholders
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Abilities):
Minimum 3 years of experience as a manager of people
Minimum 3 years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100))
More than 1 year of experience in NCM, or Nonconformance Management
More than 1 year of experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
More than 1 year of experience presenting and communicating data in Senior Leadership briefings
Experience building cross-functional relationships; experience connecting with and advising senior leaders within the business, thoughtfully challenging leadership when necessary
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Ability to understand the big picture and inter-relationships of functions and program integration
Engaged experience participating in early quality involvement practices including APQP, design review, quality planning.
Prior Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering Management experience
Experience in project leadership that led to innovations, performance improvement, or risk mitigations
Knowledge of quality processes, systems and tools (e.g., OnePPPM, REDARS, MESCi, CLEAR, Productive Capacity)
Ability and skill to organize complex details with developed recommendations for executive consumption
General Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and rally a team in challenging work environments
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 15% of the time.
