WHAT YOU'LL DO AT H1 As a Strategic Account Manager – Medical Lead, you will be a member of the H1 Account Team for one of H1's top 20 pharmaceutical accounts. You will develop deep, trusted relationships with Medical and Commercial Team stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact and product expert for H1's Medical suite. Deeply embedded in your client’s organization, you will understand their priorities and challenges, position new solutions that address their evolving needs, and help them unlock the full value of H1's data solutions and AI-powered Medical and Commercial solutions. This is a quota-carrying role responsible for driving account retention, renewal readiness, and expansion across ARR and Services opportunities.You will:
- Lead discovery conversations, product demonstrations, and other sales activities to qualify expansion opportunities and communicate the value of H1's Medical product suite.
- Build trusted, consultative relationships with mid-level stakeholders across Medical Affairs, MSLs, Medical Information, Medical Strategy and Commercial functions, serving as a knowledgeable and reliable point of contact throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Execute multi-stakeholder account strategies that drive retention, renewal readiness, and expansion — identifying and progressing ARR and Services upsell opportunities across business units, therapeutic areas, and geographies.
- Support Executive Business Reviews by contributing account health insights, product utilization data, and strategic expansion narratives that demonstrate H1's value and reinforce long-term partnership.
- Proactively monitor accounts for risk signals — including low adoption, stakeholder changes, or competitive activity — and develop and execute mitigation plans to protect against churn.
- Become a deep product specialist in H1's Medical suite, staying current on new features, use cases, and the evolving landscape of Medical Affairs data needs to credibly advise customers and internal teams.
- Translate customer feedback and unmet needs to shape H1's roadmap for Medical-focused solutions.
- Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and accurate pipeline and revenue forecasting for your accounts, providing timely deal progression updates to leadership.
- Partner with other members of the Account Team (Account Director, Customer Success Managers, and Implementation Managers) to ensure seamless onboarding, ongoing engagement and support for escalations.
- Familiarity with Medical Affairs workflows, including KOL identification and engagement, congress and publication intelligence, MSL territory management, and clinical landscape mapping.
- Experience managing renewal cycles and driving expansion ARR and Services revenue within complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise accounts, preferred.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with demonstrated ability to develop trusted partnerships at the mid-level stakeholder layer and above.
- Comfortable conducting discovery conversations, product demos, and value-based selling conversations independently.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, Implementation, and Legal teams to manage account health and complex situations.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites approximately 20% of the time. COMPENSATION This role pays $115,000 to $135,000 base salary per year, based on experience, plus variable commission, based on performance, in addition to equity.
