Technician

Business Unit: Corporate Services

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary

The Technician will execute daily maintenance operations according to established preventive maintenance programs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires hands-on technical skills, analytical problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to maintaining building systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with critical thinking to diagnose issues, implement solutions, and ensure operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Execution

  • Perform corrective and scheduled maintenance work orders generated through Corrigo CMMS, ensuring quality completion, proper documentation, and timely closure
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to annual schedules, applying technical knowledge and field experience to identify potential issues
  • Conduct facility inspections per established routes, document findings with detailed reports, and generate work orders in Corrigo as needed
  • Apply problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective repairs that restore functionality

Safety & Compliance

  • Strictly adhere to occupational safety and electrical safety standards for all assigned tasks
  • Maintain compliance with HS&E (Health, Safety & Environment) program requirements
  • Support the HS&E leader with site chemical management program activities
  • Follow all company procedures, protocols, and safety programs without exception

Inventory & Documentation

  • Conduct inventory assessments and submit required reports according to established schedules
  • Maintain accurate, organized documentation of all maintenance activities
  • Ensure all work performed is properly recorded in Corrigo with complete technical details

Quality Assurance & Support

  • Provide operational support during vendor audits, including scope verification, quality control assessments, and compliance reviews
  • Support audit activities (ESO, HS&E, JLL, FP) as required, applying critical thinking to identify improvement opportunities
  • In supervisor's absence, provide direct operational support and demonstrate leadership capabilities

Workplace Organization & Teamwork

  • Maintain work areas including workshops, substations, rooftops, and storage facilities in clean, organized, and safe condition
  • Demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all interactions
  • Foster a respectful work environment and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in all assigned training programs to continuously develop technical and professional skills

Reporting & Performance

  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to Maintenance Supervisor detailing inspection results, testing outcomes, completed work, and audit findings
  • Document all deviations with corresponding work orders in Corrigo
  • Maintain monthly performance metrics: minimum 95% of assigned tickets closed and/or reassigned

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Technical or trade school degree in Electrical Systems, Electronics, Air Conditioning, HVAC, or related technical field is preferred, relevant experience is taken into consideration

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in facilities maintenance with focus on electrical systems and building installations
  • Demonstrated field experience troubleshooting and repairing building infrastructure

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Basic English language skills
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and maintenance best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Alerton Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Experience with Honeywell building automation ecosystems
