What you'll do
The Implementation Consultant leads complex, multifaceted client implementations across Bonterra's Case Management product suite and/or Fundraising Solutions. Working with cross-functional teams and nonprofit leadership, you'll design and configure tailored solutions that address sophisticated client requirements. Your primary responsibility is to architect solutions that meet customer needs—considering staffing, programs, data migration, and integrations—while also empowering clients with the skills and confidence to own their solution long-term. A successful implementation is one that meets customer requirements, is adopted quickly by staff, and delivers measurable outcomes. In this role, you'll lead the technical design and client enablement while balancing client satisfaction with project budgets and timelines, and contributing to broader PS team excellence.
Acquire and maintain deep expertise across the full Case Management product suite and/or Fundraising Solutions. Apply your knowledge to design creative, custom solutions when standard templates don't fit.
Conduct thorough discovery to understand client org structure, strategic goals, data needs, existing systems, and migration requirements.
Design and configure sophisticated solutions within budget, documenting requirements clearly and estimating hours and timelines accurately.
Lead technical demonstrations of solutions, translating complex features into language that resonates with specific client requirements and stakeholders.
Partner with Project Managers, fellow Implementation Consultants, and Onboarding Consultants to coordinate delivery and ensure quality across multiple concurrent implementations.
Lead collaborative working sessions with client subject matter experts, ensuring they're learning and building confidence as you build their solution.
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with contacts at all levels of the customer organization, from program staff through VP/Director leadership.
Proactively identify and communicate project risks. Escalate early, involve leadership and partners as needed, and prevent crises through direct client conversations about scope, budget, and priorities.
Maintain accurate project records in Salesforce and Monday.com, capturing decisions, timelines, and status daily.
Contribute to PS process improvement, documenting best practices, building reusable assets, and mentoring junior team members on implementation strategy and delivery.

Problem-solving skills with technical agility, creativity, and comfort working in ambiguous situations
Strong relationship-building skills (you gain trust and influence quickly)
Clear verbal and written communication, including the ability to break down complex concepts into simple, compelling language
Strong individual accountability and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
Preferred Additional Experience
