Arcosa Shoring Products is looking for a foreman for our Houston, TX plant for our 2nd shift. In this role, you will oversee and schedule daily tasks for the crew, collaborating with other team members as needed. This position reports to the Plant Manager. Benefits: Health & Pharmacy Dental & Vision Critical Illness Flexible Spending Accounts Company Paid Life & AD&D Insurance Voluntary Life & AD&D Insurance 401(k) W/Company Match Short-Term Disability Voluntary Long-Term Disability Bonus Program What you'll do: Manage a CNC work area that consists of lathes and mills Review all project activities, work equipment, and sites every day to make sure everything is performed to company standards as well as to the latest OSHA regulations and standards Delegate jobs to team members as determined by their capabilities and the general requirements of specific work projects and site parameters Meet with other managers/supervisors and necessary personnel as required in order to fully resolve conflicts, complications, and other issues according to company and client standards/requirements Train new crew members and provide workers with continuing education so that all work meets the most current specifications Direct layout on complex subassemblies and final products Check and monitor the fit-up and completion of final welds and/or multi-pass welds Layout and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications Follow all safety rules and practices Maintain and complete all required records May be involved in safety committees or initiatives What you'll need: 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/foreman position in the Shoring Industry Able to give direction and make decisions related to finances, the company’s reputation, and crew members Min 2 years of knowledge in welding Able to read blueprints Ability to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments Able to stand and walk for long periods of time High school diploma or its equivalent preferred Working Conditions: Hourly full-time position Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
