Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Unit Coordinator at CHI Williston Health, you will help our patients and staff ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the unit so they can receive timely care and provide optimal service.
Every day you will manage patient scheduling, maintain meticulous unit records, and facilitate critical communication. You will be expected to be the central hub of administrative support for the unit, ensuring a well-organized and responsive environment.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
- Manages patient scheduling with ancillary departments and consulting physicians, utilizing Care Compass for order tracking and completing daily unit logs for non-nursing tasks.
- Monitors for expired supplies and solutions, maintains unit cleanliness, oversees device charging and cleanliness, and conducts audits as assigned, and contributes to maintaining a safe and efficient environement.
- Tracks unit equipment to prevent loss, arranges for equipment repair, orders departmental supplies, and requests specialty beds as needed.
- Inspects rooms post-discharge and pre-admission, performs admission, transfer, and discharge functions, and verifies Westcom patient assignments.
