Facility Project Manager, Data Center

**Summary:** Meta is seeking a data center facility project manager to join our data center facility operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The Facility Project Manager is accountable for the portfolio of physical infrastructure projects on an operational data center campus and for ensuring that the global retrofit standard is properly implemented across the site portfolio. The portfolio includes projects in electrical, mechanical, control, and fire / life safety systems requiring familiarity with these disciplines. The responsibilities of this role include coordination and prioritization of a wide range of project planning and execution, developing project charters, work breakdown structures, and resource-loaded schedules. The role requires proficiency in communicating issues and successes with respective operation groups. The Facility Project Manager will coordinate all required resources necessary for successfully executing the retrofit portfolio at the site, providing prioritization of work with cross-functional partners. **Required Skills:** Facility Project Manager, Data Center Responsibilities: 1. Manage and prioritize a portfolio of projects at a multi-building data center site. This includes intake, prioritization, and coordination of retrofit project schedules with other campus-related activities 2. Manage project and portfolio strategic cross-functional communication, delegating tactical communication to the retrofit team as applicable 3. Manage individual projects as required to support prioritizing workloads, as the portfolio necessitates 4. Leverage all related tools and internal milestone schedules to properly sequence activities for all site retrofits, regardless of size 5. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the retrofit team's staffing model supports the retrofit portfolio's needs 6. Represent sites for programs, standards, and processes through a holistic retrofit lifecycle 7. Primary site level point of contact during the retrofit concept and design development phase 8. Oversee the development of project charters, schedules, resource requirements, and work breakdown structures as required based on data center site portfolio needs 9. Monitor risks and negative trends relative to optimized delivery of goals and collaborate with Construction Project Managers to mitigate risks (financial, schedule, safety, and quality) 10. Coordinate the efforts of a project team, including Project Controls, Safety, Quality Assurance/Control, Scheduling, Engineering, and other cross-functional partners, to ensure the successful delivery of projects 11. Ensure the execution of the commissioning process, leveraging on-site Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) resources and commissioning agents as applicable 12. Ensure the execution of all document turnover, including accurate record drawings, owner's manuals, asset information, etc 13. Work directly with sourcing managers to help develop vendor contracts 14. Occasional travel as required <10% **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 15. Experience in comprehending plans, specifications, and equipment shop drawings 16. Experience communicating project status, risks, and priorities to cross-functional stakeholders such as engineering, operations, and construction teams 17. Experience forecasting project budgets, schedules, and resources 18. Familiar with Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, and fire and life safety systems, and applicable building codes 19. 7+ years of project management experience in any combination of construction, operations, maintenance, and project planning in complex environments 20. Proficiency with one or more Project Management IT toolsets (i.e., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, e-builder, etc.) 21. Bachelor’s degree related field and 3+ years relevant industry experience will be considered in lieu of 7+ years industry experience **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 22. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) 23. Experience managing vendor sourcing and contract administration 24. Retrofit portfolio management experience 25. Proficiency with maintenance planning tools such as Hexagon, SAP, etc 26. 10+ years’ experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field 27. PMP or equivalent Project Management certification 28. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) 29. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering or project management 30. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies 31.
