Software Test Engineer
Job Description
The Design Data Management team within ADI’s Engineering Enablement group are looking for a user-focused applications engineer to support our internal users. Are you a person with strong foundations in IC design flows and data management, who has enthusiasm for working with a broad base of users? If so, this might be the role for you. We are a globally distributed team that supports and builds internal tooling & services using modern software development practices and deploy across private & public cloud infrastructure. We support what we build - so we focus on doing it right.
What will I be doing:
- Play an active role within our development team to test and provide high quality data management software solutions for users
- Write, Test & deploy scalable Test Frameworks that allow developers to self-serve
- Develop and execute automated software tests, plans and documentation
- Automate reporting on test pass/fail rates
- Automate toil (repeatable mundane tasks)
What skills do I need:
- Previous experience with Go, Python, Typescript, Temporal, Perl, or any modern development language; plus, corresponding testing / mocking frameworks
- Proficient with standard software engineering practices such as agile development methodologies, unit testing, code reviews, documentation, CI/CD
- Must be familiar with at least one data management platform, e.g. Perforce, Git, Subversion
- Experience with Pytest and/or Playwright is highly desirable
- Experience with JIRA and JIRA Xray needed
- Knowledge of orchestration platforms (Swarm, Openshift, k8s, etc.)
- Hands on experience of at least one CI/CD platform (Jenkins, Gitlab, GitHub, etc.)
- Experience with Docker, Podman or similar containerization technologies
- Be comfortable with Linux
- Experience with technologies like Ansible, Terraform etc. are also highly desirable
- Ability to share, learn and work effectively in a globally distributed team
- Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and time management skills
- What Qualifications do I need:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic, Electronic & Computer Engineering or similar
- 4+ years plus semiconductor industry experience an advantage
