Accountabilities:
- Prepare and submit mortgage insurance and agency claims for acquired or sold properties in accordance with applicable guidelines
- Conduct monthly process control and vendor audits, documenting findings and reporting results to management
- Review exception reports to ensure system data integrity and identify operational trends or issues
- Support resolution of escalated issues within the team’s scope and provide guidance on complex cases
- Assist in preparing file packages and documentation for internal and external audits
- Draft and manage written communications across internal departments to ensure timely resolution of claim-related issues
- Contribute to the maintenance of departmental procedures, job aids, and process documentation
- Support training efforts for new and existing employees within the claims function
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve workflows and ensure compliance
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, mortgage insurance claims, foreclosure processes, or related legal/financial field
- Strong understanding of mortgage industry practices, claims workflows, and foreclosure guidelines
- Experience working with mortgage servicing platforms (LPS/MSP preferred)
- Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and make sound operational decisions
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a structured environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Preferred: prior leadership or mentoring experience (1+ year)
- Hourly compensation range: $20.43 – $34.28 based on experience and qualifications
